The last thing a woman wants during her period is her man dreading her company during that time. If you find your girlfriend or wife in pain during her menstrual cycle and wonder how you can be there for them, read on!

While a woman experiences a rush of various hormones along with the pain associated with menstrual cramps, she needs comfort and love. Love is standing with the person through it all, even during not-so-pleasant times of life! Do you love your partner and want to show your support to her during her period? Here are five ways to show your care and support for the one you love:

  1. Show some extra affection
There’s no better way to express your love than by showing your affection for her. Give her some extra hugs and kisses while she is in pain. Ask her what she needs and help her out.
  2. Help her with chores
If you are hanging out around her house during her period, then help her out around the house. She might find it difficult to do certain activities, so help her out, and she will be appreciative of you!
  3. Watch a movie together
If she is uncomfortable going out because of period pain, why not plan a movie date indoors? Rent some romantic comedy movies and enjoy watching them with her while enjoying some healthy munchies.
  4. Be comforting
The last thing you want to do is to start an argument or provoke her during her period. Do not criticize her instead say things that will uplift and comfort her.
  5. Read a book to her
While you might be missing out on the activities to enjoy outdoors, there are many enjoyable things to enjoy indoors as a couple. Pick up a good read and start reading to her while hanging out with her during the period.

These are five things that you can do to support and love her through the period. When you are willing to take that extra effort to make your affection known, she will always be appreciative of it!
